Red Bend Software

Udi Dagan joined Red Bend Software as chief financial officer. Dagan joined the company from IBM where he was business consulting services country manager in Israel. Before that he was CFO of IBM Israel, vice president of operations for IBM Global Services in Israel and manager of financial planning for IBM in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

NextWave

NextWave Wireless L.L.C., which recently emerged from an eight-year bankruptcy saga, said Michael Wack, senior vice president and deputy general counsel, was leaving the company to pursue other interests. “Michael’s poise, professionalism and substantive command of regulatory issues have been tremendous assets to the company,” said Allen Salmasi, NextWave chairman and chief executive officer. “He has made invaluable contributions to our advocacy efforts before Congress, the Federal Communications Commission, and in the media, as well as serving as a key member of our legal team.”

Rogers Wireless

Canadian telecommunications provider Rogers Communications Inc. named Nadir Mohamed president and chief operating officer of the communications division of Rogers, which includes both Rogers Wireless and Rogers Cable. Mohamed also will join Rogers’ board of directors. Mohamed previously served as president and chief executive officer of Rogers Wireless, where he led the acquisition of rival Microcell Telecommunications Inc., which propelled Rogers Wireless past Bell Canada as the country’s largest wireless operator. Rogers Communications subsequently took Rogers Wireless private. Rogers also reported that Edward Rogers will continue as president of Rogers Cable, while current Rogers Wireless executive vice president and chief marketing officer Robert Bruce will become president of Rogers Wireless.

NII Holdings

NII Holdings Inc.’s board of directors appointed Daniel Freiman to serve as vice president and controller of the company.

SIPquest

David Hattey joined SIPquest as president and chief executive officer. He will also serve on the company’s board of directors. Hattey most recently was vice president and general manager of enterprise voice solutions at 3Com Corp. He also has held managerial and executive-level positions at EF Johnson Co., RACOM Corp., L.M. Ericsson and General Electric. Alain Mouttham, co-founder and previous CEO, stepped down from that position but will continue to serve on the board of directors and as chief technology officer.

In-Fusio

In-Fusio has named Jeffrey Lapin vice chairman to the company’s supervisory board. Lapin previously was chief executive officer and director of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and before that he was vice chairman, chief operating officer and director of THQ Inc.

Magnolia

Magnolia Broadband Inc. appointed Dilek Barlas vice president of chip design where he will oversee design, testing and commercialization of the company’s DiversityPlus mobile diversity technology. Most recently Barlas was chief technology officer at Communicant Semiconductor AG. He also has held senior management positions at TriQuint Semiconductor, M/A-Com Semiconductor Business Unit and ST-Microsonics.

Defywire

Defywire Inc. named Rawlvan Bennett vice president of sales. Bennett joins the company from Sentori, where he was vice president of sales and marketing.

SurfKitchen

Richard Oliver has been appointed chief financial officer of SurfKitchen. Prior to joining the company, Oliver was CFO and chief operating officer of SpiritSoft.

GE Commercial Finance

GE Commercial Finance added four new members to its Global Media & Communications team. Mark Huang was named senior vice president, Technology Lending; Eitan Milstein was named senior vice president for the Special Situations team; and Kevin Khanna and Robert Malone will become vice presidents focusing on the entertainment and media sectors respectively.

Dominion Lasercom

Willy Verbrugghe is the new chief executive officer and chairman of the board at Dominion Lasercom Inc., which designs wireless light communications solutions for the telecom marketplace. Verbrugghe’s experience includes positions with Westinghouse, Kollmorgen, Sermatech and PCC Flow Technologies.

Roamware

Roamware Inc. named Mohan Gyani chief executive officer and chairman. Gyani is a well-known wireless industry veteran, most recently serving as president and CEO of AT&T Wireless Mobility Services. Before that he was an executive at Vodafone AirTouch and before that he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of AirTouch.
