BERWYN, Pa.-Triton PCS Holdings Inc. reported a company record $46 million in second quarter earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, which the carrier attributed to strong revenue growth and an increase in EBITDA margin to 26.2 percent.
Total revenues for the quarter jumped from $135.7 million last year to $184.7 million this year with healthy increases in both service and roaming revenues. Net losses applicable to common shareholders dropped from $44.8 million last year, a loss of 69 cents per share, to $34.9 million this year, a loss of 51 cents per share.
Net customer additions for the quarter totaled 44,327 subscribers bringing Triton’s customer base to 763,525 customers at the end of the quarter. Customer churn increased slightly from 1.9 percent last year to 2 percent this year with average revenue per user reported at $58.42.
