Capital Markets: Stoke receives $17M in funding; Polaris announces increase in contract bookings; and more

Stoke announced that it received $17 million in a fully subscribed Series E funding round. Stoke provides carriers 3G mobile broadband and LTE core infrastructure solutions, and its total funding to date is approximately $92 million. Stoke’s investors include: Sequoia Capital, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Polaris Wireless announced it has achieved an average annual 66% increase in
contract bookings from 2007 to 2010. Polaris provides software-based wireless location solutions including emergency call applications, lawful and mass location surveillance,
and other location-based services. They serve more than 25 U.S. wireless
operators, two managed services partners, and several government agencies. Milestones the company accomplished in 2010 include opening a Dubai regional headquarters to serve the Middle East and Africa region, endorsement by the Third Generation Partnership Project for incorporation into its 3G UMTS specifications, and creation of a managed services distribution model to aid wireless operators with FCC requirements.

Netbuscuits has announced that T-Venture, the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom, and Creathor Venture will provide Netbiscuits with expansion capital of several million euro. This investment will allow Netbiscuits to expand business in core markets in Europe and Asia and to further develop its growth strategy for the USA.

Aerohive Networks announced that it has acquired privately held Pareto Networks, a leader in cloud-based networking. Aerohive is well known as the creator of the award-winning cooperative control wireless LAN (WLAN) architecture. Pareto’s routing, VPN and cloud services technology will be integrated into Aerohive’s operating system (HiveOS) and Cloud Services Platform.
