MCOT Public Company Limited together with Playwork Company Limited today
(24 December 2010) held a press conference to announce their cooperation in
offering subscription television service under the name “Ving TV” which is a high-
speed broadband television service transmitted through Ving Stick. The Ving
Stick is a USB Dongle receiver which can be connected to a desktop or laptop
computer through USB port in the style of Digital Nomad. Viewers can view its
contents in 4 styles: normal programming (real-time broadcast), premium
contents, on-demand contents and pay-per-view contents. The service will
enable TV stations, production companies and other service providers to rapidly
check accurate ratings and viewer information through Digital Rating System.
Moreover, the service can precisely identify the service users and also give
information about the user profiles. In the year 2011, the expected number of
the service users will be approximately 100,000 users.
