Redback Wireless teams with NextLevel for MMS service

Redback Wireless Corp. said it entered a joint venture agreement with digital advertising agency NextLevel.com.
NextLevel, which has designed more than 75 Internet sites for customers including Sony Corp., Warner Bros. and World Championship Wrestling, will handle client accounts and sales for the venture. Redback Wireless-which is not to be confused with the Ericsson subsidiary Redback-develops technology for delivering interactive messages and plans to launch a proprietary MMS solution “in coming months.”
The companies hope to execute MMS-based marketing campaigns, encouraging mobile users to submit photos and videos with their handsets. Media companies and other brands are increasingly looking to MMS as a way to connect with consumers through their phones and build customer relationships.
