BOCA RATON, Fla.-Axerra Networks Inc. provided multiservice over packet solutions for a new mobile network serving Sweden’s Royal Institute of Technology.
The GSM network provides students with wireless capabilities while also providing a testbed for research and educational projects initiated by major European universities, said Axerra. The mobile/wireless network project at the school is part of the Sweden-Israel Testbed Program for IT Applications, or SIBED, which supports development of primarily wireless applications in testbed environments. The goal of this project was to create a GSM and GPRS network that can be shared by other institutions for both research and education.
