PARIS-France Telecom said it sold 56 million shares, or approximately its entire 5.4-percent stake, in Sprint PCS on the New York Stock Exchange for $330 million.
Sprint PCS’ stock was trading down 2.32 percent in early Friday, trading at $5.90 per share.
France Telecom is focused on debt reduction and had previously announced the Sprint PCS sale.
