Intermec, Wireless Edge Networks enter partnership

EVERETT, Wash.-Intermec Technologies Corp., which builds products for automated data collection, partnered with Wireless Edge Networks Inc. to develop software to optimize mobile access to information on Intermec’s wireless handheld mobile computers.

“Effective wireless applications mean more than the ability to eliminate cables,” said Rod Crane, Intermec’s vice president. “Wireless Edge understands that the nature of mobile access and the way information is used is different than for a user sitting at an office computer.”
