PRAGUE, Czech Republic—The Czech government is planning to offer a new set of conditions for awarding third-generation (3G) licenses, according to international press reports. The government plans to raise about US$540 million for three 3G licenses.
Only two of the country’s three operators agreed to the cost of the licenses in the first round of the process. A government official said the operators would receive new conditions that would be a compromise between the original plan and the carriers’ offers, the reports said.
