HANOVER, Germany-Alcatel announced its single-chip Bluetooth solution, which brings all functions, including radio-frequency, base-band, processor, memory, antenna and filtering devices into a single die package.
“We have taken a hard look at the Bluetooth spec and have chosen not only to implement the mandatory features, but also all optional features,” noted Steve Beckers, director of the Alcatel Microelectronics RF Group.
The Alcatel Bluetooth chip uses the Bluetooth 1.0 software stacks from TTP Communications and is available to customers today, with volume production beginning early next year.
