LUCENT TO EXPAND BELLSOUTH’S SOUTHERN NETWORKS

ATLANTA-BellSouth Mobility Inc. signed a three-year $180 million contract with Lucent Technologies Inc. to expand BellSouth’s network in Georgia and southern Florida.

Terms of the agreement call for Lucent to be the preferred vendor for all of BellSouth’s wireless equipment, software and service requirements in those markets.
