CONDUCTUS REPORTS CLEARSITE ORDERS

SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Conductus Inc. announced it received multi-unit orders for its ClearSite
front-end receiver systems from a large Japanese original equipment manufacturer and two U.S. cellular
operators.

Conductus sees the Japanese order opening up opportunities for future widespread
deployment.

“This order is a major step forward for Conductus as these are our first units to participate in 3G
(third-generation) field trials,” said James P. Simmons Jr., vice president, marketing and sales at Conductus.
“Now that laboratory testing is nearly completed, real-world performance data will be gathered and that can only
be done through field trials. This order may represent a considerable business opportunity for Conductus in the
future.”

The U.S. cellular operators also ordered ClearSite units to conduct field trials in hopes of expanding
their portable coverage, said Conductus.
