A story in the March 8 issue indicated there were no personal communications service provid-ers
in Las Vegas. Las Vegas was included in the Metropolitan Trading Area for Los Angeles-San Diego for the A- and B-
side PCS licenses. Those licenses were awarded to Pacific Bell and Sprint PCS. Both companies have launched service
in Las Vegas. The C-block licenses were won by DCR PCS Inc. (now known as Pocket Communications Inc.),
NextWave Telecom Inc., AT&T Wireless Services Inc. and Rivgam Communications. In addition to the DCR license,
NextWave Telecom is in bankruptcy and Rivgam Communicators L.L.C. has not launched. AT&T Wireless also has
not launched but is one of the cellular operators, so it would not represent additional wireless competition.
