INDIANAPOLIS-Brightpoint Inc. announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the business and certain assets of Cellular Trading 3 C.A.
CT3 is a wholesale distributor of wireless communications products in Venezuela and a provider of value-added services such as warranty, repair and refurbishment services. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, CT3 had record sales of about $29 million. Brightpoint said it expects to close the acquisition on or about Nov. 30.
The sale is conditional on the satisfactory completion of due diligence review by Brightpoint. Freddy Genatios, owner of CT3, will become the managing director of the newly formed company, Brightpoint de Venezuela.
