Faith Inc. continued its retreat from Europe and North America, selling off Paris-based mobile content company Digiplug SAS to global technology consultant Accenture.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Digiplug, which was founded in 1998, supplies music and video technology to music labels, wireless service providers and handset manufacturers. Accenture said it will integrate Digiplug’s services with a new digital media platform in an effort to provide a comprehensive offering for content owners and distributors.
“The revolution in digital media is creating both immediate challenges and exciting opportunities,” said Greg Douglass, global managing director of Accenture’s media and entertainment practice. “Digiplug will enhance our ability to help clients transform themselves for the new digital world.”
Faith, which is based in Kyoto, Japan, recently offloaded Moderati, a California-based ringtone provider.
