Siemens wins Colombian order

MUNICH, Germany-Siemens said it will build a GSM/GPRS 1900 MHz network for Colombia Movil in Colombia. The Colombian operator will also equip its network with EDGE technology, Siemens said, giving the German vendor its fourth EDGE win.

The order is worth more than $65 million.

Colombia is the newest mobile operator in the country and a subsidiary of fixed-line providers EPM Medellin and ETB Bogota.
