IRVINE, Calif.-Disposable mobile phone maker Hop-On announced Viasystems will manufacture 61,000 CDMA 800 MHz disposable/recyclable phones to sell in China.

“We now have an EMS partner with a first-rate global network and telecommunications specialization,” said Peter Michaels, chairman and chief executive officer of Hop-On. “Viasystems gives us the knowledgeable volume manufacturing strength we need given the indicated demands for our disposable cell phone.”
