ROHDE WINS PRESIDENT’S APPROVAL TO HEAD NTIA

WASHINGTON-The Senate Commerce Committee Thursday approved President Clinton’s nomination of Gregory Rohde to head the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. The nomination now goes to the Senate floor for consideration. Rohde, a telecom aide to Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.), would succeed Larry Irving at NTIA.
