This week, several service providers have announced the launch of new software solutions, including Verizon's Cyber Intelligence Center and WIT Software's new WebRTC platform to support Web-based communications. GL also made a new offering called FaxScan available for FAX analysis via IP, TDM and PSTN networks, and Sennheiser Group has provided a new audio conferencing solution for Middle Eastern clients.
Verizon Cyber Intelligence Center
To help assist in the fight against cybercrime, Verizon recently made its new Cyber Intelligence Center available to global organizations. The platform will enable users to better identify and react to cyberattacks, providing improved management and mitigation strategies to reduce groups' threat risk. The VCIC can analyze information gathered from an organization's global IP infrastructure and several other sources, and it leverages the data through threat management and big data tools.
"Yesterday's approach to fighting cyberattacks in which each enterprise attempts to combat well-funded adversaries alone or build these complex cyber capabilities themselves is just not feasible," said Eddie Schwartz, Verizon Enterprise Solutions Global Security vice president. "The realities of today's threat landscape require enterprises to focus on understanding the business context of an attack and taking direct remediative action."
WIT Software's WebRTC Platform
WIT Software also announced a new unveiling this week: The company's new WebRTC Platform that uses Flash technology for support of audio and video communications in all Web browsers, including those that were previously unable to process WebRTC. The new end-to-end system includes a WebRTC Gateway that provides an avenue for Web capabilities to function in telecom protocols. Additionally, a Javascript WebRTC SDK is also featured in the platform to allow developers to establish Web-based applications.
FAX analysis tool from GL Communications Inc.
GL made a new offering available this week for the analysis of FAX through IP, TDM and PSTN networks. The application, called FaxScan, features technology to process 2-Wire and 4-Wire voice band capture files and Win PCAP for the analysis of a variety of files, packets and images. Robert Bichefsky, GL Communications senior manager for product development, noted that fax files require analysis for problem investigation and to enhance image quality.
"In today's rapidly transforming telelcom technology, Fax still holds relevance and plays a critical role for most of the business establishments and need for monitoring fax transactions is of paramount importance and monitoring is done by recording the analog or IP traffic using suitable call-capture applications," Bichefsky said.
Sennheiser's TeamConnect Solution
Sennheiser Group also announced the launch of TeamConnect, a cost-effective audio conferencing system aimed at Middle Eastern enterprises. The system can be implemented in standard meetings rooms and it also provides mobile device control.
