MURRAY HILL, New Jersey, United States—Lucent Technologies has inked a five-year TDMA agreement with Cingular Wireless to cover 30 U.S. markets, including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Under the pact, Lucent will supply mobile network equipment, including base stations, software and professional services.
“These solutions will enable Cingular to immediately increase capacity and coverage of its current-generation mobile network and provide investment protection,” said Lucent in a statement.
