Google launches mobile RSS service

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—Google Inc. took yet another step into wireless, introducing a mobile version of its RSS aggregator service.

The new mobile-friendly interface for Google Reader allows registered users with a personalized home page to use their phones to read news, e-mail and perform searches wirelessly. RSS delivers Web feeds as XML files, enabling frequent readers of Web sites to track updates using an aggregator such as Google’s Reader.
