TAMPA, Fla.-GTE Telecommunication Services Inc. announced the commercial availability of
financial net settlement services for wireless carriers engaged in roaming agreements.
Through its Access
clearinghouse, GTE TSI now can handle the actual inter-carrier payment or receipt of funds that occurs after clearing
and settlement.
GTE TSI said its new offering “streamlines the net settlement process by eliminating the third
party between the clearinghouse and the bank.”
Bell Atlantic Mobile served as the beta testing customer for
GTE TSI’s financial net settlement offering.
