Throughout 2023, we’ve witnessed an explosion of interest in AI technology catalyzed by the advent of ChatGPT. With both promise and peril, this new wave of artificial intelligence sparked a dichotomous public discourse – some hailing AI as the key to a transformative future, while others decry its potential threat to established norms. Yet the debate now extends beyond just technologists and philosophers as AI-based tools make steady inroads across the corporate landscape. 

Companies of all sizes must now reckon with assessing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implications of deploying these increasingly omnipresent and powerful AI systems.
