Huawei grows with Mate 60 Pro smartphone, 5G chips and HarmonyOS

As the old saying goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat. The United States tried to stop China from monitoring US communications by blocking Huawei from America wireless networks and from using American 5G chips. That meant Huawei needed to find new ways to get 5G chips in order to continuing growing worldwide. With the introduction of Mate 60 Pro smartphone and their new 5G chips, it looks like they are doing just that.

Huawei now has new 5G technology for their smartphones and is continuing to advance in the global wireless industry right along with other leaders like Qualcomm, Ericsson, Nokia, Intel and more.

In fact, with their new HarmonyOS, they have also managed to bypass Google Android by creating their own operating system. Now, this is being being expanded from the smartphones to the PC market.

The Mate 60 Pro was just introduced during an event in China that would show Huawei remains a powerful player in the wireless market. It must give them a level of satisfaction to prove to the world that they are not going away.

You see, Huawei quietly launched this new smartphone during the United States Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo visit to China.

While this was not an aggressive action, their defiance did show Huawei remains a real competitor in the worldwide wireless industry.

It appears U.S. sanctions against Huawei have both succeeded and failed. While they are still no longer in United States networks, and they are not using 5G chips, they did introduce their own 5G chips in the new Mate 60 Pro with 5G. And with HarmonyOS replacing Google Android, they continue move ahead.

They have obviously developed a workaround for those roadblocks, and they work on a global scale.

Huawei 5G chip is like the line in Jurassic Park; “Life finds a way!”

This reminds me of the line so brilliantly said in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park, “Life finds a way”.

If you recall, actor Jeff Goldblum played a scientist who said, “the one thing the history of evolution has taught us is that life will not be contained. Life breaks free. It expands to new territories, it crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but…” life finds a way.

And that seems to describe what we see happening with Huawei.

New 5G chip could pose real threat to Apple and Qualcomm

This new Huawei 5G chip technology and HarmonyOS looks like it could pose a real threat to companies like Apple iPhone, Qualcomm 5G chips and Google Android.

You see, if this is a real replacement, it could translate to reduced demand for US products and services from Apple and Qualcomm.

Bottom line, with all the noise and all the action the USA took to block Huawei, any way you slice it, with their new 5G, Mate 60 Pro and HarmonyOS, they are proving they intend to stick around, to grow and to remain a long-term player in the global wireless marketplace.
