Mobilitie enables multi-carrier 5G connectivity for mobile network operators, large enterprises, and municipal and government customers
U.S. wireless infrastructure provider Mobilitie has reached an agreement to acquire Signal Point Systems, a telecommunications infrastructure provider focused on U.S. military bases, the former said in a release.
The acquisition will unite both telecommunication specialists under a common ownership structure with a shared mission to accelerate 5G and broadband connectivity for the members of the armed services and their families living and working on base, the companies said.

Mobilitie said it will integrate operations and will conduct business as Signal Point on military bases and across Department of Defense facilities.
The acquisition closed on May 11, 2022.
Signal Point’s core focus is developing towers, small cells, fiber, and in-building solutions on military installations and Department of Defense facilities and communities adjacent to those military installations.
In 2021, Mobilitie was acquired by BAI Communications, which is majority-owned by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). BAI operates neutral-host networks in Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, the United Kingdom and the U.S.
