U.S. wireless infrastructure company Mobilitie is installing a 5G wireless network inside Chicago?s iconic Daley Center, the city’s premier civic center.
The project provides the Daley Center with a neutral-host network for reliable voice, data and streaming connectivity throughout the building, Mobilitie said.

Melissa Mullarkey, regional vice president of wireless solutions at Mobilitie, told In-Building Tech that the in-building network is designed with high-capacity fiber to accommodate growing mobile data traffic demand and facilitate the use of IoT and proptech. ?The network delivers superior coverage, high speeds and low latency so all employees and visitors will experience fast and reliable service,? the executive said.
Mullarkey also said that in-building network deployments typically take a few months from the start of construction to commissioning the system.
She highlighted that Mobilitie is seeing an increasing interest from the government segment in in-building projects.
