LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Tower Cloud, a broadband infrastructure service provider, will expand its dark fiber network by 1,300 miles in Florida. At the CTIA Super Mobility 2015 Tower & Small Cell Summit, the company announced it has signed a new contract with one of the four major U.S. carriers to carry out the expansion.
The deal will make Tower Cloud one of the largest high-speed networking and wireless backhaul providers in the Southeastern U.S. with over 6,800 miles of installed fiber. It also gives the company the most expansive dark fiber network in the region, which includes 56 cities.
“Florida is a booming market, with growing demand for a more robust fiber infrastructure to support mobile expansion,” Ron Mudry, Founder and CEO for Tower Cloud said. “This latest carrier agreement will allow us to expand our dark fiber network to offer customers state-of-the-art connectivity with the capacity to grow with their needs.”
Tower Cloud’s plans will expand its network into many major metropolitan areas in Florida including Orlando, Jacksonville, Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, Melbourne and Ocala. The dark fiber service plans will also include military installations such as the Jax Naval Air Station and Patrick Air Force Base, as well as major data centers such as s CXP, Peak 10 and tw telecom in Jacksonville.
“The high-speed fiber infrastructure will serve as a foundation for bandwidth-intensive services throughout the region, including increased macro and small cell initiatives by the mobile community, and broadband capacity and connectivity to serve national, regional, local carriers, enterprises and communities,” Mudry added.
In addition to the expansion of the wireless backhaul services, Tower Cloud will also add to its private enterprise infrastructure support through new Ethernet Private Line Services and more connections to regional POP’s and data centers.

Tower Cloud is headquartered in Saint Petersburg, Florida and serves all four major U.S. carrier in major metro and rural markets throughout Georgia, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina.
