NetCracker: Convergys’ integration shows results

ORLANDO, Fla. — NetCracker Technology took the opportunity at the recent TM Forum Management World Americas held in Orlando. Fla., (check out all pieces and see our videos) to show how its  acquisition of Convergys’ BSS business  has solidified its focus on expanded its reach in the global services and management business. Sanjay Mewada, vice president for strategy at NetCracker, said the integration went well and the company is pleased with the progress it is making.

The most important outcome of any integration especially when it comes to acquisitions is the fact that it has resulted in increased revenues and an increased customer base,” he said. The combined company is expected to have annual revenues of U.S.$2.5 billion. According to Mewada, this is a comfortable target.

Less than ten months ago, the Japanese NEC acquired Convergys’ information management business for $499 million with the goal of  complementing its previous purchase of NetCracker Technology. According to the trade show presentation, NetCracker is posting results: the company announced three customer releases, including one that showed how the combined portfolio contributed to NetCracker’s expanded presence, serving current clients and gaining others.
