Movers & Shakers: T-Mobile's director moves; MMA announces Turkcell exec as Global Chair; and more

The MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) announced that it has elected a new Global Board Executive Committee with Melis Ertem of Turkcell as its new Global Chair. Ertem who has lead the mobile marketing business within Turkcell to become a $USD 100 million dollar business in five years, has been elected Global Chair for the remainder of 2011 through the first half of 2012.

Celtra Inc., self-service platform for rich media advertising and analytics across mobile devices, announced David George and Grant Stratemeyer, as new members of their executive management team together with the addition of Sarah Fay to the Board Of Directors. In addition, the company announced they have opened new offices in NYC and Los Angeles to help meet the growing demand for Celtra’s rich media advertising capabilities.

Qualcomm Incorporated announced that it has named Jim Doh senior vice president, worldwide sales, and president, Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) Asia. In his expanded role, Doh will be responsible for managing all sales efforts and customer relationships for the business unit.

TMNG Global, a leading provider of management consulting and software solutions, announced the expansion of its global presence in Cloud computing professional services with the appointment of Andy Bart and Vern Sheppard as Vice Presidents.

Millennial Media, the leading mobile advertising and data company, announced the appointment of James Tholen to the company’s Board of Directors. He has also been appointed as the Chairman of Millennial Media’s Audit Committee. Tholen currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of BroadSoft Inc, the leading global provider of real-time communications software to telecommunications service providers, where he leads the company’s financial and administrative operations.

RACO Wireless, a key machine-to-machine (M2M) partner and aggregator, announced that T-Mobile USA has named the company as its preferred partner for M2M new business development and operational support. RACO Wireless is a provider of wireless data solutions and applications to the M2M and telemetry industry and is one of T-Mobile’s long-term dealers with the M2M program. To support this relationship, John Horn, national director of M2M for T-Mobile, will be leaving the company after nine years to serve as president at RACO Wireless.
