Universo Online S.A. informs its shareholders and the market that on the present date Mr. Eduardo Alcaro took office as M&A Executive Officer for UOL and will take office as Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer on May 12.
Mr. Alcaro is graduated from Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Business Administration and has sound experience in Brazil and abroad. For more than 4 years, he served as auditor for PWC and, in the last 14 years, he has played important roles at Wal-Mart, both in Brazil and in the USA. He entered WalMart in 1997 as Financial Manager. Then, he was assigned as M&A International Director in the USA, when he headed the prospecting of assets and acquisitions in Brazil (Bompreço and Sonae), Japan, North Ireland and other Central America countries. From 2006 to 2008, he served as Investor Relations and Financial Planning Director for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Back to Brazil in 2008, he became Finance Vice President for Wal-Mart Brasil.
Mr. Alcaro is joining UOL with the purpose of helping the Company in its accelerated expansion, even through new acquisitions, as well as narrowing the Company’s relationship with investors and the market.
