Mexican telecoms group America Movil (AM) has decided to rebrand fixed broadband unit Telmex Ecuador under the Claro moniker used across AM’s Latin American operations, reports Telecompaper. The decision follows Telmex Ecuador’s sister cellco Conecel dropping its well-established Porta brand in favour of Claro earlier this month.
