Motorola Mobility Inc. acquired Zecter Inc., which provides synchronization and streaming technologies for on-demand digital media content. The company did not provide details on the terms of the deal. Zecter currently offers two products, including its ZumoDrive for cloud-based content synchronization, and ZumoCast for personal media streaming.
Brightpoint Inc. said it completed its purchase of Touchstone Wireless Repair and Logistics L.P. Brightpoint paid $80 million in cash to acquire the company and funded the purchase through its senior revolving credit facility.
Brightstar Corp. said it refinanced its $500 million U.S. revolving senior credit facility. The facility will provide the company with working capital and has a five-year maturity, said Brightstar.
Digital content and entertainment provider Zed said it expanded its syndicated loan to $160 million from $121 million. The company said the additional funding will help it increase its presence in the multiplatform digital entertainment sector in the United States, Russia and Asia.
Standard & Poor’s announced Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. is replacing publisher Meredith Corp. on the S&P 500 index. The firm also announced Cincinnati Bell will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index.
