Laird Technologies acquired Cattron Group International in a move to expand its presence in the machine-to-machine market. Cattron supplies wireless remote control systems for the railroad, mining and industrial markets.
Expedia Inc. said it entered an agreement to acquire Mobiata, which has created mobile travel applications including FlightTrack. The company said the deal marks a significant move into the mobile market for Expedia. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Juniper Networks announced it acquired the intellectual property assets of Blackwave, which provides Internet video storage and delivery infrastructure. Financial terms of the deal were not released. The transaction allows Juniper to enhance its Juniper Media Flow Solution, said the company.
Aruba Networks reported revenues for its fiscal first quarter of $83.1 million, up 44% from revenues of $57.6 million during the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $2.1 million, or 2 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $24.7 million, or 28 cents per share, during the corresponding period a year ago.
