Scanbuy Inc., a mobile barcode solutions provider, named Mike Wehrs its interim chief executive officer and president. He will also join Scanbuy’s board of directors. Wehrs takes over for Jonathan Bulkeley, who resigned. Wehrs most recently was president and CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association, where he oversaw day-to-day operations, global expansion and market development of the group.
After picking up $15 million in new financing, video-over-IP company Envivio said it has been working to strengthen its executive management team. Erik Miller, who has 20 years of financial experience, joined the company as its CFO. And Kevin O’Keefe, most recently vice president of field operations at MaxiScale, has joined the company as COO. In addition, the company’s chairman of the board of directors, Gianluca Rattalazzi, has taken on the role of executive chairman to assist with corporate and business development.
Verizon Wireless named Brian Danfield president of its Southwest Region. He is responsible for sales and operations in Arizona; New Mexico; Las Vegas; Nevada; El Paso, Texas; and St. George and Cedar City, Utah. He has been with Verizon since 1997.
