The World IT Show, South Korea’s biggest information and technology show has been taking place this week at the COEX Convention Center in the capital, Seoul, with the agenda largely focusing on 3D screens and smartphones.
This year marked the third consecutive year for the show which is jointly sponsored by Korea’s Communications Commission, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the country’s Culture Ministry.
Korean heavyweights LG and Samsung showed off a plethora of competing products, ranging from their 3D TV sets to their latest smartphones – LG’s Android powered Optimus Q and Samsung’s Bada based Wave.
Amidst all the excitement over the shiny gadgets, Korea Communications Commission Chairman Choi See-joong also found the time to sit down with representatives from Mongolia, Ecuador, Ghana, Rwanda, Vietnam, Japan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Peru and Indonesia for talks about future telecom cooperation.
