A new survey from ABI Research found the top three ‘must-have’ features on cellphones today are digital camera functionality, Bluetooth connectivity and music/radio playback.
The survey of 1,402 wireless subscribers in seven countries found nearly half of consumers want a camera phone with 2+ megapixels, and about one-third of consumers want Bluetooth connectivity and music/FM radio functionality.
Despite all of the features offered on the latest mobile phones, consumers still choose their operator based on price, friends and family being on the same network and network coverage, said the report. In addition, the survey found the three most common features consumers have on their phone today are games,
Internet access and 2+ megapixel cameras.
