WiMAX
–Pakistan: Huawei Technologies said it won a contract with Mobilink to deploy a commercial WiMAX 16e network in Islamabad, Karachi, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Wi-Fi
–United States: Cresskill Junior and Senior High School in New Jersey has installed a wireless local area network from Meru Networks to provide students and faculty with mobile wireless access to the Internet and online educational materials.
Miscellaneous
–Sweden: Moovera Networks said Swedish long-distance bus company Swebus Express has chosen its Moovbox M Series Mobile Broadband Gateway to provide Internet connectivity on its fleet of more than 80 buses.
