E-Block licenses continued to draw the biggest bids at the Federal Communication Commission’s 700 MHz spectrum auction sputtered along.
The block received $9.1 million in new bids during today’s first three rounds, nearly matching the $9.3 million it drew during the same period yesterday. B-Block licenses generated the most action today, however, drawing 107 bids during rounds 88, 89 and 90; the E Block drew 105 bids.

Overall auction activity has slowed dramatically, with today’s first three rounds drawing only 81, 82 and 78 bids. The auction’s total potential winning bid amount inched to $19.496 billion.
