Alltel Corp. launched a new program designed to help business application developers bring their products to market faster.
The company’s Business Solutions Partner program involves collaboration from Alltel’s business sales team on helping partners promote their products and sell data solutions and services. The companies will have access to Alltel’s national data network at wholesale rates, and the carrier will provide technical support and assistance in getting devices certified for use on its network.
“Reducing cost and time to market are two of the most critical elements in product deployment, and our new program will help ease the way for our developers while increasing the opportunity for sales,” said Wade McGill, senior VP of product management for Alltel.
Alltel said that the first company to join the new program is Edulog, which specializes in transportation technology for school districts, including GPS tracking and route optimization.
