People magazine has tapped LimeLife Inc. to deliver its content to mobile users.
The periodical launched People Mobile, a downloadable application that delivers breaking celebrity news, photo galleries, a puzzle game and a style blog. The application is available on carrier decks for $4 per month in addition to messaging charges.
LimeLife is a San Francisco-area mobile startup that develops mobile content and applications for women; the company’s partners include Rachel Ray and InStyle magazine.
“We are excited to partner with People to bring the most trusted brand in celebrity news and entertainment to mobile,” said LimeLife CEO Kristin McDonnell. “With anytime, anywhere access to breaking news stories and the latest star photos, consumers can stay connected and ‘in the know’ with their favorite celebrities.”
