Leap Wireless International Inc. unveiled a new payment schedule for its Cricket wireless service that allows customers to pay their bills on a weekly basis.
The carrier’s new Cricket by Week product is priced at $18 per week and includes unlimited anytime minutes, domestic long distance, text and picture messaging, voicemail, caller identification, call waiting and three-way calling. Customers can also add nationwide roaming for 39 cents per minute and international long distance beginning at 5 cents per minute. As with all of Leap’s plans, neither a credit check nor a contract is required.
The features included in the new weekly offering are similar to what Leap offers in its Cricket Choice service, which runs $45 per month.
