Weekly wireless ratings wrap-up

The following list includes ratings changes and financial information for wireless companies announced this week by investment-banking and financial-services firms.

    Handset and infrastructure vendors

  • RBC Capital Markets lowered its 2007 estimates on Motorola Inc. to $1.18 from $1.20 and lowered its price target on the company to $22 from $24. The firm made the changes on expectations of lower unit sales for the first quarter, saying the company’s product portfolio appears to be underperforming its peers. Goldman Sachs lowered its 2007 EPS estimate on the company to $1.01 from $1.23 and its 2008 EPS estimate to $1.20 from $1.43.

  • Robert W. Baird lowered its price target on OmniVision Technologies Inc. to $8 from $10 and lowered its 2007 EPS estimate on the company to 1 cent from 16 cents. The firm cited increasing financial concerns compounded by lack of a technology edge, cost disadvantages and competitive pressures.
