Movero Technology Inc. said it is partnering with Palm Inc. to couple its device management software with Treo smartphones.
The startup is hoping to gain traction with software that allows IT departments to perform basic change-of-service and device management transactions across all major U.S. operators. Movero hopes to spur adoption of its Business Essentials technology by packaging the offering with handsets and selling monthly subscriptions.
“By removing common barriers to adoption we have been able to put mobile productivity tools in the hands of a wider audience and accelerate mobility within the enterprise,” said Movero CEO Bruce Friedman, a former Sprint Nextel Corp. executive. “Business Essentials, combined with Treo smartphones’ higher quality user experience, has proven to increase mobility project performance and lower project risk and cost.”
