Cellphone association CTIA announced it hired Jay Driscoll as its new director of government affairs. Driscoll previously worked as the legislative director for the Independent Telephone and Telecommunications Alliance.
“With his experience, background and demeanor, Jay will quickly become a valuable asset at CTIA,” said CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent. “To be successful in today’s environment you must have knowledgeable and experienced professionals communicating your organization’s message, and this is exactly what we have in Jay,” continued Largent.
Prior to joining CTIA, Driscoll served as the Independent Telephone and Telecommunications Alliance’s legislative director, where he coordinated legislative and regulatory strategy for member companies serving in 43 states. Driscoll has also worked on Capitol Hill, spending three years in the Office of United States Senator Max Baucus (D-Mont.).
Driscoll began his career as an economist with the Montana Public Service Commission.
