Cingular to sell Motorola V551

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill.-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. said it will be the exclusive provider of the new Motorola Inc. V551, which supports Cingular’s new EDGE network. Cingular said the new clamshell-style phone will give users faster access to Internet information, games and images.

“The Motorola V551 expands the options for consumers who demand productivity as well as performance and reliability,” said Bruce Brda, vice president of sales for Motorola. “The model V551 is an important addition to the Motorola line-up at Cingular Wireless, joining the world’s hottest handset, the Moto Razr V3.”

Motorola has promised to release 20 new devices during the fourth quarter. The company has so far released more than 10.
