SANTA CLARA, Calif.-ZK Celltest Inc., which makes wireless network monitors, has added its RSSI/BSIC scanning option on its new DXMe and ZK-SAM line of test sets.
The new option is designed to detect, log and display as many as 25 of the strongest GSM channels on the air and indicates the RSSI, channel number and base station identity color codes for the GSM channels. The results are presented in tabular format and as a time-based line graph with channels displayed and logged in order of their signal strength, said the company.
ZK Celltest said the scanner can identify potential areas of interference and coverage holes and find the interfering cell-site sector using the BSIC decoding feature.
