J-Phone to nationally unify price plans

TOKYO-J-Phone said it has requested permission from the Japanese regulator to unify its regional company price plans into six national price plans and seven discount services for its PDC networks, which will be nationally unified beginning Feb. 1.

All price plans come with free calls, and one of the discount services allows users to carry unused free calls to the following month. A family discount allows up to four family members to save 50 percent on basic charges and voice and mail communications.

The company said the service names and charges are in line with the Vodafone Global Standard and will seamlessly integrate with J-Phone’s new international service to be launched Dec. 20.
