Nokia to cut 900 jobs in networking division

HELSINKI, Finland-Wireless vendor Nokia Corp. said it will slash about 900 workers, about 5 percent of its staff, at its networking division.

The decision, geared toward saving costs, is the first such major job cut since the company laid off 1,000 employees in June 2001.
