VIENNA, Austria—Mobilkom Austria said it acquired a 5-percent stake in Croatia’s VIPnet from Ingra, increasing its stake to 71 percent from 66 percent. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Western Wireless holds a 19-percent stake in VIPnet, and Vecernji List owns 10 percent.
At the end of March, the Croatian operator had 911,000 subscribers, contributing to the country’s mobile penetration rate of 42.3 percent.
