TOKYO—NTT DoCoMo Inc. plans to introduce a billing system enabling i-mode subscribers to make monthly payments at convenience stores using a two-dimensional bar code on the screens of their mobile phones.
The service, dubbed “combien?,” is expected to be available at a pair of convenience stores in Tokyo beginning next week, with service expanding to approximately 1,400 stores nationwide by early July.
